NLASLPA  is a not-for-profit association which represents over 100 Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) and Audiologists (AUDs) in Newfoundland and Labrador. Through the work of its Executive and Committees, NLASLPA supports the professional needs of its members, including continuing education and representation in national organizations. The association champions the interests of those who require speech, language, swallowing, and hearing services; and promotes awareness of how SLPS and AUDs contribute to the well-being of Newfoundlanders and Labradorians living with communication and swallowing disorders.

 

NLASLPA frequently advertises Continuing Education events, including a yearly conference in September. Membership for NLASLPA is paid annually, either directly to the association, or with a combined payment to Speech and Audiology Canada (SAC). Membership to NLASLPA is recommended, although not mandatory to practice in the province of Newfoundland and Labrador.
